I found myself trudging through the first half of the book and in the end, I was relieved. In examination of the subject, I think it was the intent. As the reader, I had similar experiences as the author did as he was describing them, albeit to a much lesser extent. In the end, he is introspective, satisfied, connected with his father. I felt the same with the book. I was reminded again of the changing dynamics of familial relationships and the importance of capturing moments and truly show more revering them. Even the bad ones. show less
