The first sentance sets the tone of this book; "For hundreds of years Indians were the only people who lived in the area now called Texas."
Silly me, I thought it was 8000 to 10000 years instead of a few centuries.
The author confuses relics fron many thousands of yeara back with historic Indian culture.
I suppose the lifestyles described of historic age Indians is accurate for that group of Indians, but not necessarily some of the artiffacts mentioned that are much older.
