I found this book in my high school library back in the late 70's. I was thrilled by the whole attitude. I was most interested in trying out the beading chapter. I seem to remember the author telling us that we should support our local head shop by buying beads there. LOL!
This is defintely a book of crafts for the people. It covers a ton of things in one book and it all seems so simple. The line drawings remind me of the Moosewood Cookbook.
If I run across this book again, I'm very likely to show more buy it. show less

A great piece of history here of the early 70's hippie culture in crafting. I was one of them, I admit it :) I love reading this book and being reminded of the way we used to talk LOL
I also own the 1972 version in hardcopy... these are a must own for those who think alot about getting back tot he land, and are into hippie history
