There are some great one-liners in this, mostly delivered by a straight-faced Hugh Grant who excels at this kind of thing.

‘Did you hear about the Morgans?’ is not the greatest film, although I’m sure we’ll see it again at some point. But we enjoyed it, and afterwards watched one of the extras which showed the locations of the film and how they were chosen.

The crime thread makes it a bit different from the average rom-com. There’s some violence though no gore, and some quite tense show more scenes.

An activist lawyer spends a year working for a conscienceless property developer.

2.5/4 (Okay).

It's a rare believable romance in a Hollywood romantic comedy. These characters actually communicate with each other and grow to care about each other, on screen. The script is messy, though, and it's occasionally cringey in other ways.
A lovely feel-good film, starring Hugh Grant as a musician and Drew Barrymore who is supposed to water his plants...but turns out to be a great lyricist.

All somewhat predictable after the initial situation unfolds, but the pace is good, the chemistry between them works well, and it's a very pleasant story.

Definitely recommended if you want something light and relaxing.

Most of the film is predictable, and I don’t recall any particularly humorous sections, but it’s light-hearted and fun, relationship-based rather than with any great plot.

Recommended for a light and pleasant evening’s undemanding viewing.
