If you want to know what's hot on the Vineyard as in summer fare, this is a good cookbook for you.
Most the the recipes are not difficult to make, most of them call for fish of some kind, and the food style is not strictly New England shi-shi.

Black Dog Tavern opened in 1971 as an 88 seat restaurant named for the owner's Black Dog! Uh huh! Although this is a "tavern", Vineyard haven is a "dry" town. From a small town eatery, Black Dog has show more grown to national fame, with people from all over the U.S. lining up for hours in the early morning just for a chance to eat the popular Andouille omelet or the Banana-blueberry pancakes. show less
