This is a good book for people that are curious about Glacial Geology, but aren't working on getting a high level degree in the field. It doesn't go heavily into geophysics and focuses more on the basics. On the whole it is a good introductory book, but would be a bit dull if you are working on that high level degree.
Making of the Earth: Geologic Forces That Shape Our Planet (The Living Earth Series) by Jon Erickson
All the basics of geologic processes, and nothing more. Good introductory book.
