The lack of color illustrations make it not as pleasant for browsing as some, but there are plenty of patterns for use. The overall feel is rather old-fashioned.

I particularly appreciated the nice short little history of quilting for children at the beginning. I also liked the author's non-prescriptive approach to gender:
