George Scurfield (1920–1991)

An extraordinary story is told in the introduction to this cookbook. The writers started a small bakery out of their kitchen. "We started with a dozen [customers] and within two or three months we had over a hundred." They faced the necessity of either expanding or else closing down. They closed down.

George and Cecilia Scurfield must be truly remarkable people. At the very least, they know their own minds, and that is unusual.
