An adorable, heartwarming Christmas story. The pig family is sad, because they forgot to save money up for Christmas, so they don't have any. They believe you need money to have Christmas. Angel Pig to the rescue!! Angel Pig lets them know that Christmas isn't about money and presents at all. Now, the piggies must get to work, there still just might be enough time to save Christmas after all. =)
Love the rhyme and meter. Poor piggies are too broke to afford a "good" Christmas, then Angel Pig appears and reminds them of the true spirit of Christmas. The piggies quickly get to work making homemade gifts and decorations, enjoying themselves and the true nature of Christmas.
My kids enjoy the rhyme scheme, and I enjoy that it has a more meaningful message than a lot of the Christmas fare.
The rhyming text strains at times, but the pictures tell the story even better anyway, so it's ok.
