Not the best book if you want a travel book, but I loved the sketches and the comments on the different areas the author and her husband visited.
Beautiful! Excellent combination of travel and sketch journal. Fun to walk through the maps and the small pieces of sketched and colored art.

I really enjoyed reading this book! Each page has pictures and explanations on places, people, and food in New Orleans. It was very informative and interesting. I think that people from all different places who want to learn more about New Orleans culture should read it.

A very quick read. Lots of watercolor illustrations, anecdotes about local history, food, things to do. When we lived in Charleston many years ago, we never got the chance to enjoy but a fraction of the things pointed out in this book. We just didn't have the money, and I was too busy with school. It was interesting to read about new things in Charleston that weren't there when we lived there.
