This lovely book, with color illustrations by Walt Kelly, contains words and music for 30 songs. Each song contains a foreword by Kelly. "It is the intent of this book to make people leave the TV sets of bars and grills to gather, singing once again, about the old family upright, and then soberly to return to the bars and grills and think things over.
I decided to learn some basic piano after we acquired one for my daughter. I can roughly get out the basics like silent night and jingle bells complete with chords. I'm a bit scared looking forward in the book at what he is expecting me to master, but as he gives no idea how quickly to complete the book I'm just taking my own pace and not moving on until I feel I have roughly conquered each step. Hence it will probably take around 9-12 months to complete these 10 "lessons", but that's fine.
