How I Breathe is an informational story for young children. The story begins as the main character explaining how she breathes, she also mentions that her mother breathed for her until she was born. The story also explains the intake of oxygen and how more oxygen is needed the more active a person or animal becomes. The story also informs children that dirty air is unhealthy and can cause sickness and sometimes results in plant destruction.
