The best thing about this book are the example photos, with "good" vs. "great" photos of the same subject to compare with one another. The tips are useful in a somewhat non-specific way but maybe that is as good as it gets when discussing composition. Overall I found it to be generally helpful in improving my photos. For better or worse the author has no scruples about heavy editing in Photoshop!
A slim but sweet tome packed with ways to do experimental / avant-garde stuff with photography, in the days (years) before Photoshop made everyone an armchair image manipulator. Topics include intentional blurring, multiple-eposure masking, projecting images onto another subject, solarization, using Mylar sheets, negative images, infrared, rear projection, etc. Most of the images are quite startling and sensual. Black&white and color.
Beautiful photographs. This is is a practical book for the professional about how to market pictures. It is as useful for digital and Internet based sites as print photography. It is also a great source for the amateur looking for ideas and well posed pictures.
