I bought this as a research book for my next novel about the introduction of the horse to Native Americans. I wanted to know more about the Pueblo Revolt in New Mexico since that was where the Pueblos, Apaches, and Navahos acquired many of their horses.
The book was a series of essays that covered the reasons why the revolt took place, but very little about the details of the conflict. This was not much help to me. I needed details on the revolt itself.
Still a good read. One thumb up.
