These collection of stories, known by everybody, should remember us, that the Ancient Orient and Occident coexisted in mutual respect. As for the Arab culture, it was not totalitarian, regressive, intolerant or against spirituality, philosophy and arts. None of the governmental forms at our planet ever was a plus ultra. If nowadays we have a clash of cultures – who started it? Literature as « One Thousand and One Nights » might contribute bridging differences in cultures and societies.
