The title itself is insulting to skeptics, implying that we are ignoring evidence of Creationism. Evidence? What evidence? There has always been evidence of evolution even before Darwin penned his famous book. It's sad that Creationists continue to try to deny it despite the evidence presented to then - so really, the true and appropriate phrase would be 'You can lead a Creationist to evidence...' because despite the evidence/proof for evolution that piles up year after year as our show more scientific technology (and testing methods) improve, Creationists continue to use convoluted arguments like the one with the banana, or the watchmaker argument.

The 'answers' in here are condescending. Some of them might seem clever at first glance, but with thinking and contemplation, anybody can easily rip apart the 'retorts' the author has written in this book. But then, it's not that hard to dismantle any Creationist argument or answer with some logic and thinking. Some of the 'answers' in this book aren't really answers as they are straw-men and designed to distract the atheist/skeptic.

This book offers no more evidence or solid argument for Creationism than any other book written by Mr. Comfort - who is not even an actual scientist himself - or other Creationists. Heck, this book, when read by an intelligent mind, actually gives an argument AGAINST Creationism.

On the outside and at the outset it seems like a typical Nostradamus book, like one of the many that came out around the time of the 9/11 attacks. But, very quickly it turns into a typical Ray Comfort attempt at evangelism, while also substituting as a decent skeptical takedown of (a) the fake Nostradamus prophecies centering on 9/11 and (b) the actual prophecies of Nostradamus everyone has always heard about. The typesetting and mechanics of the volume are poor, with odd margins, missing show more punctuation, etc. But, it gets its point across in a style that most will not like: "prophets" like Nostradamus are occult dabblers, condemned by the Bible, true prophecy is only IN the Bible. show less

Although I reject the highly Calvin-influenced theology of Comfort and Cameron (and frankly, about 90% of those who style themselves as scholars and theologians), there is a contradictory thread which runs though their evangelism techniques which is soundly grounded in truth.

I'll not argue the point in this short review, but it is extremely important to note how the "go into all the world...to the Jew first and also to the Greek" focus of the Lord's commission to His disciples is so clear show more and undeniable, that even those who are burdened with the oppressive implications of Calvinism must target both the objectives and the objects of His commission in their evangelism materials. I love the simple, yet highly specialized techniques of The Way of the Master materials are presented. The orderly arrangement, each successive point building directly upon the previous, and ultimately leading to the inescapeable implication to those toward whom these efforts are targeted, viz. what will YOU do with Jesus?

Recommended, but with the caveat of Calvin's underlying theology, regardless of its almost universal acceptance among those who should know better. When all is said and done, even Cameron and Comfort must acknowledge the words of the Lord which stand undisputed and true, ""Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. 29 "Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and YOU WILL FIND REST FOR YOUR SOULS. 30 "For My yoke is easy and My burden is light" (Matthew 11:28-30, ESV).

Excellent book on how to get past your fears of sharing the Gospel. Comfort lives this and provides sound counsel on why and how one must be about this commission. As Christians, we are called to preach the Gospel and to make disciples. Comfort, somewhat surprisingly, says before we preach the Gospel, we need to "prepare the way" by preaching the Law. The Law of God is a "schoolmaster" that "tutors" us, leading us to realize our need for the Gospel. Comfort candidly shares how to go about show more this and includes some of his "facepalm" moments too. Comfort, Koukl, Abdu Murray, Nancy Pearcey and others have been challenging me to reach out and show my love for those who do not (yet) know Jesus. I highly recommend this book to challenge us, the complacent majority of Christians who do not share our faith regularly, and, when we ever do do it, we don't do it well. Practical and provoking. show less
