US think tank comes up with a solution to sustain unsustainable American lifestyles in the face of climate change... by simply getting rid of everyone else on the planet... Devastating satire that reads like a good thriller and mostly manages to stay on the right side of plausability (Beaton even seems to have predicted hurricane Katrina's destruction in New Orleans by a year)

The characters and plot line might seem far fetched (maybe not so far fetched when you remember the Bush show more Administration)... but I am really not so sure they're that far off the mark. The Nazi holocaust is mentioned in passing... that happened... lets not forget what kind of grotesque people tend to end up in positions of power and what kind of thinking they are capable of... read this book... and watch out! show less
Very funny. Yet another excellent importation choice from the UK. This little manual would not be out of place on the Pointy-Haired Boss of Scott Adams' Dilbert.
