OMG! Is there any subject matter that is TOO MUCH to put on paper??? The kidnapping was portrayed as the main story line, however the book skirted past any detail of the captives and centered on the torture involved with the investigation. I can see this being used as instruction manual by some sick, less than human, creep. It’s the story of three young girls who fall prey to child predators It's not poorly written by any means. Probably would have improved it if it had been. I gave it 100 show more pages and then I just couldn’t take any more of it...and that’s saying a lot for me. If you attempt it...be sure you have a very, very strong stomach. I have never in all my life ever returned a book, but I took this one back to the small bookstore that sold it and they refunded my money. Oh yes...I bought another book:) show less
This is one of those books that I don’t know how to review because it is so disgusting and vile. It was written very well but it is an EXTREME revenge horror story. Mark fucking sucks and obviously he’s supposed to be hated but still, he’s disgusting.

I didn't think I have the stomach for this one. It’s a well written storyline and Jon Athan delivers an insightfully shocking and disturbing look into how predators use technology to prey on children. The brutally raw, holds-nothing-back subject matter is what I had a hard time getting past. I didn't want to go the DNF route, but was tempted to several times, so I continued on to the finished line. Disturbing was too show more gentle of a word for this novel. I just might not have the stomach for the Splatterpunk genre, but in the end, I was glad I did tackle it and finish. And now I know where to draw a line when it comes to my reading entertainment.
If you are a fan of the Splatterpunk genre, this could be up your alley. Even though it is well written and insightful, this contains a lot of disturbing, gruesome contents such as murder, child trafficking, harm and death to children, sex, suicide, pedophiles and how they operate (in detail) and a lot of other content that could be triggering to many readers. show less

This has to be one of the most graphic body horror books I’ve ever read. I’m not a parent and don’t plan on being one so I obviously won’t know what it feels like when a child is taken away, especially by a pedophile. Reading some of the chapters was really hard but this stuff is real and happens all the time sadly.
