An Iowa farmer, Ray Kinsella (Kevin Costner), hears a voice one day while tending his farm saying, "Build it, he will come." He has a vision that he must build a baseball field, not knowing why. Along with his supportive wife (Annie Kinsella; Amy Madigan), he sets out to construct this field. An amazing miracle happens when a famous baseball player from the past (Shoeless Joe Jackson; Ray Liotta) shows up to play the game that show more he was removed from many years before. James Earl Jones and Burt Lancaster, among others play key parts in this wonderful story. Highly recommend.
