Unmarked spoilers ahead! Proceed with caution

This book completely surprised me. I was completely prepared to write this book off as another shitty book about some snobby girl and be done with it, but I'm glad I didn't. I really hated Sophie at the beginning of the book, but I guess that's kind of the point. You're supposed to hate her. You're not supposed to be rooting for the girl who sleeps with her friend's boyfriends because she thinks that she can do and have whatever/whoever she wants. show more You're not supposed to root for the girl who's the personification of shallow, and you are definitely not supposed to root for the girl who got caught snorting coke again and tried to seduce her arresting officer in an attempt to be set free. I honestly can't say when she started to change because the change in her was so subtle. All I know is that one minute I was hoping she'd fall flat on her face, and the next minute I was rooting for her to get through all of the trials she faced. I'm glad I gave this book a chance, because it was much better than I thought it would be. show less

Rating 3.5 stars
I'm sorry for the relatively low rating but, while I liked this book just fine, I wasn't captivated by it.

Callum and Harper were very sweet together, I liked their interactions and how comfortable they were with each other but, exactly for those reasons, after a while, I found them quite frustrating.
I'm the first to disapprove of instant-love's stories but the opposite could be annoying too: how could they stay together for so long without expressing their feelings? or, show more better yet, how could they not know how the other felt?! The love was so palpable...I just didn't get that misunderstanding at all!! show less
