Although this was written in the 1970s, it’s not null and void. Much of the info presented here you’ll find in most modern works on the Anglo-Saxons.
What’s more, if I didn’t know this was published in 1976, I would’ve guessed it to be a recent release. The author’s style feels modern. It’s not written in a scholarly way, which suits me fine.
