Beautifully presented tribute to Victorian women illustrators, whose art and botanical contributions were largely unacknowledged.
Presents ideas, materials, designs, and plants to make "your small spaces work for you". Great help in planning any garden. Sections on "difficult areas" (entrance, atrium, sideyard), Rooftops and patios, terraces, mobile home space, containers, growing food (vertical!), herbs, special features (water and light), and indoors. Big section on plants listed by type -- hardy, annuals, perennials, bulbs, ground covers, vines, shrubs, trees and herbs. Concludes with a "Basic Gardening" guide with show more techniques to "make it easier". If you build your soil and mulch, your garden will not require constant attention or additives. [151] show less
An indispensable guide to the natural companions of orchids (and frogs)
The Mystique of Orchids, Structure & how it grows, where orchids grow, selection & placement, orchid growing, orchids illustrated, a gallery of orchids
