One day Raggedy Ann and Andy are playing by the Looking Glass Brook when Raggedy Andy discovers a round white pebble. It's a magic wishing pebble! Right away the dolls wish for a magic soda-water fountain for their friends, the Muskrats. But when the trickster, Minky, steals the pebble, the fountain instantly disappears -- along with the fun! Now it's up to Raggedy Ann and Andy to get the magic pebble back so that they can keep making wishes for all their friends.
Summary-Marcella has a tea party with her doll, while some men outside painted her house. Since Raggedy Ann was Marcella’s favorite, of course She was the honored guest. While having the party Marcella sees two boys flying a kite. They some how the convinced her to tie Raggedy Ann to the end of the kite. Shortly after the start of her flying, Raggedy Ann falls from the sky into a bucket of paint. A kind painter takes Raggedy Ann home, cleans her, and fixes her all up. Right before he show more finished sewing Raggedy Ann up, he adds candy heart into her chest. The kind man gives the now clean Raggedy Ann back to Marcella, who is felled with happiness to have her doll back.
Personal Reaction - Raggedy Ann was one of my favorite books growing up. Each year I would get a new Raggedy Ann and Andy book for my birthday, I even had the dolls. This story was one my favorites. This book brings back memories of my mom reading this to my sister and me.
Classroom Extensions-
1.“Raggedy Ann’s (Andy’s) Kite” Have the students make a paper kite and decorate it. Tie a string to the end of the kid’s kite and attach a paper Raggedy Ann or Andy to the end.
2.“Marcella’s Tea Party”-(Marcella’s party if the boy in the class don’t want to have a tea party)-In the classroom and prepare a tea party with tea, s finger foods. You may want to call it Use this time to teach the kids proper manners and edict.
3. “Candy Heart”- Have the kids write a paragraph or draw a picture (depending on the level of the kids) of whom they would give their special candy heart to.

The toy camel helps Raggedy Ann and Andy find their friend, the missing doll, Babette, and vanquish some pirates in the process.
An accident involving a runaway kite and a can of paint threatens to damage the doll Raggedy Ann, but ultimately it leads to her acquiring a red candy heart.
