The Enneagram is a personality type indicator, very fashionable in Catholic spirituality circles a decade or so ago. This book is as good an introduction as any.
This book looks more at the triads of the Enneagram (gut, heart, head) rather than each of the nine. This is a small book that tries to delve into the interior life of people with differing approaches to getting down there, based on personality type.
In this book, the author takes the enneagram in a new and deeper direction as she explores how the instincts, compulsions, and gifts of each stance or space influence interactions among people -- especially those in spiritual direction relationships. -- from book cover
