If you are looking for a book that will take you, room by room, through your home with a plan to declutter and organize - look no further. Some of the things I thought were particularly helpful were the idea of taking parts of a room at a time, instead of trying to do the whole thing and also the idea of taking care of things as you go, instead of just moving your clutter somewhere else. Ms. Ramsland makes the process seem do-able and she is very clear about the benefits that will come if show more the reader is willing to take the leap and begin the process of getting rid of the excess. show less

An upbeat - you can do it - message. The author breaks down each room in small chunks and gives time estimates for each job. If you start this programme, my advise is to take before and after photos and team up with someone like-minded. I did just that and it turned out to be a lot of fun and kept me going when I would have been distracted. Your partner doesn't even have to live in your town if you take and share the before and after photos. I would have liked to have seen more details for show more home office and craft rooms. show less

Marcia Ramsland is a very talented writer and professional organizer. Her book will prove inspiring and beneficial to those who are chronically challenged to momentarily stumped by life changes. The book presents itself in three easy sections:
- Simplify your time
- Simplify your systems
- Simplify special seasons of life

One of my favorite nuggets from the book is:
"If you do anything more than once in life, organize it and simplify it. That means looking for ways to imporive anything that show more you're sure you'll be doing again."

This book hits that message in every section!

Tips, tricks, and worksheets in a nicely divided and tabbed 3-ring binder. Seems quite workable. Ask me again this time next year.
