Celebrating President's Day: What Is a President? (Learn to Read Read to Learn Holiday Series) by Kimberly Jordano
This inspirational book explains what a president is? It talks about all the different job title of the president. For example the president helps people in need. The president solves problems with other countries and helps build communities. In this book it also shows how children can be just like the president. And have all the same job he has to be just as important as he is.
This story was read to 4 and 5 years old. Right now they all know President Obama so after reading this they felt show more like they can be the next president. I had two children how wanted to help fix anything in the room. And one child who to help do everything. It is amazing how there minds work.
What I did was have them get together and think of any problems we have in the classroom and how to fix it. One big problem we have is running to be first in line. So they thought a teacher should call each child up one by one to get in line. And it was a great idea, instead of having the girls line up and go to the bathroom and then the boy’s line up and go. Next I had them think of idea on how to become better listeners in the class. I am still waiting on a good plan for that one. show less
