I really really like this book. My issues are more with the construction. For the price, I wish I could open it up and lay it flat while I worked out of it. Instead, because of it's odd little shape, it is constantly snapping shut and I am going to have to either a) break the binding or b) photocopy each pattern. I don't even know if breaking the binding will help with it's odd shape. I'm giving it four stars for now because I love the pattern and layout variety. I've read it but not used it show more so it could/may change. show less

I made a quilt from this book. Highly recommend if you want a modern take on the traditional sampler quilt (although, of course, you could use traditional quilting fabrics if desired). There are different block layout options included. Directions were easy to follow.

Tula created a collection of modern quilt blocks that is approachable by the beginning quilter and yet varied enough to provide the seasoned quilter inspiration for their projects.
