I was a little disappointed by this book because I thought it was by, for, about English kitchens. But it's an American anglophile book for the American kitchen. Pretty good, though.
An interesting book, though limited in scope for these days. The recipes are inviting, and those I've tried are tasty. Nice descriptions of the feast days of the cultures covered, and the tales of their cakes.
