I'm admittedly biased towards Tucker Brooke for his establishing of the Marlowe canon, but even if I weren't I would recommend this anthology for any student of non-Shakespearean early modern drama. Most of the plays are available individually as New Mermaid or Regents Renaissance Drama editions, but this is one of the few anthologies that combine them in one handy volume.

There are footnotes throughout, but the plays are presented very bare bones, which isn't necessarily a flaw for those who show more wish to concentrate on the text. Even new, and admittedly very expensive for a paperback, this book was still cheaper than investing in 30 different individual editions, and is certainly worth a used price. show less
Everyone except Shakespeare: Marlowe, Jonson, Dekker, Webster, Kyd, Beaumont and Fletcher, Middleton. Does not, however, include [The White Devil] by Webster, one of my favorites.
30 Plays of the period. Each play is prefaced with the original Title Page and a one or two page history of the play, a summary and sources. Archaic words are footnoted within the play.
The two editors are C F Tucker Brooke and Nathaniel Burton Paradise.
