I'll be Home for Christmas is a novella about Carrie and Fin from the first books in the series. I must admit that I haven't finished all the books about them and I was wondering about the Riley-Carrie thing. How far did their relationship go? Reading this novella made me regret not making myself continue with the series. I loved this little novella and it put me in a festive spirit. It got me worried a little, but everything worked out in the end and I just kept loving it. The novella can show more be read as stand-alone even though I don't recommend that. It will be a much better experience. When can we get a novel about Marie and Hernadez? I am hooked on the idea of a novel for them. show less
A sexy thief has just met her match.

Stealing His Heart is smartly written, wickedly sexy and part of my favorite series. All pluses in my opinion. What appealed to me is that the author veered off in a direction that has not been explored much in romance. Thievery, blackmail is a new scenario for a second chance romance. In Tara, there is a woman doing a bad thing for all the right reasons. Her heart is in the right place, yet her actions are wrong none the less. Jake was a jerk for using show more their past to control her future. I was not his biggest fan but the heat these two ignited made up for the irritation I felt for Jake. Tara is no wilting flower and Jake is no puppy dog. Both are opinionated and determined. Stealing His Heart is the culmination of attitude, steam and humor. Hard not to be impressed.

I'm in love with love and authors like Diane Alberts are the reason why. The romance genre gets a bad rep. Not believable or serious enough. Too much sex, not enough story. Totally untrue and explicitly unfair. Romance authors tackle serious issues like rape, kidnapping, emotional and physical abuse, depression and in the case of His Best Mistake, how to deal with grief and the fear of loss. Daisy has already turned one tragedy in her life into a positive. Losing her mother brutally and show more senselessly at a young age, put her on a path to protect innocents. As a police officer she sees herself making a difference. When she suffers yet another tragedy, she decides that her heart can't take the beating and closes herself off from love. A friend on a mission, a sexy, drunken night with a stranger and her heart just might be open for business. If she can let go of the past and he can get a handle on his fears, this may be a match made in heaven. The message: Life is too fragile to miss out on every precious moment. show less
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Her nails dug into the back of my neck, stinging, and she wrapper her legs around my waist. There was no more hesitance or nervousness.
There was just us.

This was a quick read, but I devoured every single morsel of it. Jen captured my heart in her Out of Line series, and she brought that magic with her to this novella. Though it be small, it packs a punch! Though I would love to read another book about this couple, I am perfectly content show more with where she left us; full of hope and possibility. Just the right amount of swoon and sweetness that comes from a well written novella, as only the best of the best can do.

I was wedged up against this side of heaven, my forehead to hers, and I couldn’t imagine any place I’d rather be. And that fucking terrified me.

This is the tale of Mackenzie, country singer prodigy superstar, and Austin, a young man thrust into pseudo-parenthood at a young age and full of doubt. While on spring break, these two are thrust together in what can only be described as a whirlwind of emotions. The sweet moments were tender, the sexy moments were panty dropping, and everything in between was just magic. Jen has a masterfulness about her writing that pulls you in, be it 100 pages or 400. This was a home run for me!

“I think, if you let me, I could love you so damn good. I could make you happy, and you’ll save me from myself. Just say yes. Just give me another chance.”
