Robert Brumm

One thing I didn't expect was the violence and the graphic "gross" of this particular book. It's something to think about,, though. On top of the fact it is so action-packed, it gives you the "what if" of the world around us. I know Mr. Brumm had an aditor, but there were too many things the two of them missed when editing this book to just let ma give this that final star. Still, I was able to read around it, and it deserves the rest of them.

I realized while reading this book (after one of the authors’ fans mentioned it) that Simple White Trash is a companion novel to Robert Brumm’s “DESOLATE.” However, you don’t have to read the first to enjoy the second. Simple White Trash is a standalone novel packed with action, tension, humor, and engaging characters. I was hooked from the first page, and the dialogue (I’m extremely picky on the dialogue) is perfection.

Simple White Trash is a wild ride that begins with bad luck, show more worse decisions, and mostly good intentions, and ends with you on the edge of your seat, turning the pages faster than your poor eyes can read. This is going in my top reads of 2015 list. show less

I wish I could give this 10 stars. Black Water Creek has action, mystery, suspense, supernatural goings-on, and a dash of romance. All of these awesome things are combined with fantastic characterization and Brumm's easy writing style. I can't wait to read more by this author.

Again not normally the genre that I read but, what I can say is this book made me want to read from the beginning to end to see what was going to happen. I was intrigued and found that Robert Brumm made me want to read the story. I enjoyed this book from beginning to end. The story was cute, sweet, disgusting, funny, terrifying, and just brilliant from beginning to end. That to me is what makes a Great Book!
