In times of heartache, it's the people we love that give us the strength to fight another day. Bethany Lopez has the Midas touch when it comes to writing sweet stories with spicy characters. A Touch of Cinnamon brings a second chance for a love affair that abruptly ended, but refuses to die. A tragic twist of fate cut short what was meant to last, but years later could the force that tore them apart, be the one that reunites them forever? Of all the ironies in the world the love is the show more greatest puzzle. Ms. Lopez tries her hand at solving that with her humorous look at romance and the healing power of love. show less
Sweet Sexy and a bit Salty

Perhaps it is May's cupcakes, or Bea's tough lady cop attitude, but these strong professional women bring a snapshot of the whacky, and often exciting life of Delilah trying to make ends meet as a novice P.I.and how it offers a unique but balanced life-work chemistry. There is some hot sex and violence, but, the threat of the infamous swear-jar keeps the language GP. I cannot wait to read #2. Thank you.
I eagerly await the release of any of Bethany Lopez's books. I just love her writing style and how it evokes so many emotions in me when I read them and this book, 8 Weeks, was no different.

Cal committed the ultimate betrayal by waking up in a hotel room in Vegas with an unknown blonde and no memory of what happened between them. All he knows is that he has cheated on his wife, the love of his life, and now has to face the music and watch their relationship be torn to shreds. What ensues is show more a story of the power of love and whether or not Shelly can forgive Cal. He asks for 8 weeks to prove that they are meant to be together.

Right from when I read the synopsis of this book I was really intrigued as to how the author was going to make me feel anything other than disgust for Cal. I mean, I was cheated on in my much younger years and had vowed to never give anyone a second chance if they did it to me again. This book was going to be a hard sell for me but damn it if I didn't start feeling other emotions for Cal from the first few chapters. Don't get me wrong, I wanted him to suffer, I wanted him to feel the same amount of pain that he had inflicted on Shelly, I wanted Shelly to be strong and stand up for herself. Well I got all that and more.

I really felt connected to both of these characters from the beginning. I felt the emotion in every interaction and I totally understood Shelly's reactions and, from the first page, I firmly implanted myself in Shelly's corner. I felt a whole range of emotions while reading this book - anger, betrayal, love, longing, hope and faith. Surprisingly I felt for Cal nearly as much as I felt for Shelly and it was a beautifully written heart-felt story of forgiveness, trust and the power of friendships, love and connection.

It was so easy for me to slip into this book and I loved all of the secondary characters and the dynamics of their friendship group added so much to the story. The next two books in this series will be about other members of this group and I am eagerly awaiting their release.

Although just short of 200 pages, 8 weeks was the perfect blend for me of angst, love, romance and emotional storyline and at no time did it feel rushed or unfinished. I would have loved to have kept reading about Cal and Shelly but at the same time the length of the book perfectly told their story while leading us into the next two books.

8 Weeks stayed with me for a long time after i read the final page and this book is another reason why I stalk Bethany for her new releases and why she is an automatic go-to author for me.

I really enjoyed Bethany Lopez's Friends and Lovers Trilogy, so when I found out she had written another new adult romance, I was anxious to read it. Samantha is in her last year of college. She is also a single mom with a beautiful little 2-year-old daughter that she is raising on her own, because the baby's father wanted nothing to do with her. She hasn't let this make her bitter, but it has made her better, as she is now focused on getting her degree and make life better for her and her show more daughter. She isn't looking for a relationship and in fact, tries to steer clear from getting involved with guys, then she meets Judd, and things quickly change. When Judd walks into the bar that Samantha is in, with his tattoos, long hair, and killer smile, he notices Sam right away. Judd is also in his senior year of high school, and though he rides a motorcycle and has the whole biker vibe thing going on, he is actually a baseball player, and a very good one. Judd doesn't do relationships, he does hookups. He has never been interested in a relationship with a girl, but with Sam doesn't fall prey to his charms, he is intrigued by her. Despite her best attempts to stay away from Judd, Sam isn't able to, and finds herself falling for him, and he is falling for her, which is completely new to him, but when she finally tells him about Karrie, will he run, or will he stay?

Indelible is such a sweet and romantic story, and there isn't a love triangle - yeah!! Both Judd and Sam have gone through some hard things and have hurtful pasts, which have shaped their future. Their relationship can't be a normal one, because there is a 2-year-old involved. Judd turns out to be such an all around great guy, despite his past. There isn't a whole lot of conflict in the story, but they do deal with some things and have to make choices that are best for each of them, as well as Karrie, which are difficult. There is a bit of a twist at the end, which I suspected was coming. Judd and Sam are the kind of characters that you want to see things work out for and I liked both of them. There are a few steamy scenes also. Overall, I found Indelible to be a fun, enjoyable, feel good romance that left me smiling.
