In my dreams, I would love to go to Wisteria Island where life is simple for senior citizen inhabitants; to be taken care of by a formally ICU nurse and a wealthy developer of a senior assisted living community! Sure is better than being pastured out at a nursing home and forgotten in your later years! I love the way the mature and not so mature characters interact with each other and where love begins and ends with such compassion! A very heartwarming story that kept me entertained until show more the last page and wanting more! An amazing read by Rachel Hanna! show less
The Beach House by Rachel Hanna starts the South Carolina Sunsets series! This book had me hooked from the first chapter. After 21 years of marriage, Julie is told by her cheating husband that he's in love with another woman. She is knocked for a loop and after he sells their home, she decides to escape and buy a beach cottage in Seabreeze, South Carolina. Life happens and Julie has many obstacles to overcome with her husband's circumstances and otherwise.
Rachel Hanna writes a fast paced show more story of love, betrayal, new beginnings, and sister's interaction which has me engrossed to find out what happens next and I sure will be getting the next book in the series! show less

Sweet Tea and Wedding Rings by Rachel Hanna is a 2021 publication.
I have really enjoyed this ongoing novella series centered around Mia and her sister Kate, their love interests and Kate’s daughter. For some reason I thought this was the last installment- but was pleasantly surprised to find that there are at least two more after this one. Yay!
This installment, though I loved, loved, loved the ending, was not my all time favorite. I did love seeing Cooper and Travis getting along, I show more loved hearing from characters featured in previous episodes, and the introduction of new characters, but I felt the small town versus the big city monologues got a bit too heavy handed. The stereotypes on both sides of the coin were way over the top, nearly sucking all the charm about the story and creating a very tense atmosphere I wasn’t in love with.
Thankfully, even in such a short story, the author managed to steer things back towards the saga between the sisters and their significant others and their futures together and it ended on a very sweet note, even after all the vitriol.
So, despite the journey’s rocky road- I’m still all in on the series and can’t wait to see what will happen next at the Sweet Tea B&B. 💖 show less

Beach House is the beginning of a romantic series by Rachel Hanna. This book centers on Julie who is in her early 40s and has been married for over 20 years and has two grown daughters. She finds out that her husband has been unfaithful and is left to figure out what comes next for her. she ends up buying a beach house off the Carolina coast sight unseen. She finds out why it was such a good deal when she gets there and almost falls through the floor of the porch. Enter some interesting show more characters that live on the quiet island as well as Julie's estranged sister. The books ends with all characters happy for the time being, but there are definite signs of more to come in future books. The romance is very tame and suitable for young adults as well as adult readers. I enjoyed the book and will consider continuing on with the series at some point. show less
