An underrated film. Some pacing issues in the first half aside, I think it is very elegantly made, with a heartfelt story, memorable visuals, captivating fantasy elements and a beautiful synergy to the plot once it all comes together at the end. I liked it even better on second watch, picking up on more throughlines than I did the first time around. Though I suppose the combination of sappy period romance and supernatural good versus evil isn't for everyone.
Mr. Freeze steals diamonds, until Poison Ivy convinces him to destroy humanity.
1.5/4 (Meh).
I understand why people hate this movie. It's extremely dumb, and it's a comedy without any laughs. On the other hand, it's always trying to be entertaining (even though it fails, TRYING to be entertaining is more than you can say for certain Batman movies I can think of). It's garbage, but it's fast-paced, campy garbage. I'd rather watch this than The Batman, or Batman Forever, or even Batman Returns. show more The biggest problem I had with it is the lighting. Everything is LEDs and blacklights; besides being ugly, it's exhausting to look at that for two hours.

A (Great).
There aren't as many silly episodes as I'd hoped for. But even when it's serious, it's an emotionally heavy serious and not a taking-itself-too-seriously serious (with the exception of a couple weak episodes).

Witch sisters have difficulty dealing with an abusive boyfriend.
I feel like this story was afraid of doing too much with its premise, like late 90s Hollywood said, "This movie is for women, and women don't like fantasy, so lets pretend the whole Witch thing isn't there as much as possible."
