summary: George likes to dance, but he only does in private until he is asked to dance in a show.
reflection: This made me think about things that we all do when we are alone compared to things that we do when we're around people or in public. I love that it tells the story of being yourself and doing your own thing because it comes down to being happy with yourself and how you are, not caring so much about other people and what they do/like.

Waking up one fine spring day, Morris the Mole goes looking for love. He knows what he wants - shiny black fur, a pretty pink nose, and big, wide feet - but will the nearsighted romantic find what he's looking for? Or will a series of false starts send him back to the molehill in defeat...?
Somehow, I expected to enjoy David Bedford's Mole's in Love more than I did. The story, clearly meant to be humorous and heartwarming, was predictable, and a little too cute for my taste. The show more illustrations, by Rosalind Beardshaw, were sweet but unremarkable. In fact, that is exactly how I would describe the book as a whole, which is no very ringing endorsement! show less
