I liked this book a lot more than the other El Chavo book I read. Like the other book, I loved how this one was also bilingual. It is great for all students whether they are native Spanish or English speakers because it introduces them to another language. I also liked the plot of this book a lot more. It was about neighborhood soccer team who was fairly knew and they had to play against a really good team. The game started about bad but the team persevered and came back to win. I liked the show more plot a lot because it teaches students to keep going when things get tough. The main idea of this book is definitely to preserver and to always keep working hard no matter what. show less
This book was a decent book. One reason why I liked it was because it was a bilingual book. On each page there was text in English as well as Spanish. I think books like this are a great idea for both students learning to speak English as well as students who already speak English because it introduces them to a different language. What I didn’t like about the book was the plot. The story was about a guy named Don Ramon who runs away because he doesn’t want to pay his rent and then comes show more back and pretends to be a star wrestler. His landlord then finds him and makes him pay his rent so Don Ramon has to fight in order to make money for his rent. I think that this plot would be kind of confusing for children. The main idea of this story would be to always be yourself and don’t run from your problems. show less
