Butterflies, Flowers, Vol. 1 by Yuki Yoshihara
Great illustrations that don't distract from the story; a believable, yet uncommon premise; sweet and humorous. This is a pretty charming and fun manga. I'm also enjoying that the characters aren't perfect. Yuki Yoshihara does a great job of showcasing both strengths and weaknesses without turning them into ridiculous caricatures.

Butterflies, Flowers, Vol. 1 by Yuki Yoshihara
A graphic novel I started reading due to some positive reviews, I found myself for the most part a bit underwhelmed. Although not bad, this story seems to have a hard time performing a balancing act between trying to be a romance and trying to be a comedy. Of course, the normal answer is to just make this a 'romantic comedy', but the feeling I get is that this is intentionally sequestered, and thus becomes a lesser of the sum of its parts. Still, again, it's not bad, and is enough to gives show more this series another try with Volume 2. show less
