I enjoyed this book because it is informational through its language and illustrations. The language in the book is great because on each page, there is a phrase or word from the show that begins with a letter in the alphabet. For example, "A is for All Aboard." Additionally, above the phrase is a picture of Thomas stopped at the train station. The photos throughout the book are colorful and engaging. So, not only is the language fitting to represent what words begin with certain letters, show more but the photos also represent the meaning of the word/phrase. Overall, the idea of this book is to help children learn the alphabet, as well as the concepts covered in the show, Thomas. show less
This is a cute ABC book based on the Thomas the Train series. It has real color photos from the TV show, and each letter of the alphabet is printed in big, colorful font on each page. I like how it shows the letter and a corresponding word at the top of the page, and a full sentence including the word at the bottom of the page. That way, children can see the letter each word starts with and the word in context. This is great for Thomas fans!
Hooray for Thomas!: And Other Thomas the Tank Engine Stories (Random House Picturebacks) by Rev. W. Awdry
This is a classic book about Thomas the Tank Engine. It included multiple stories of Thomas and his friends. Thomas saves the day like usual in the main story of the book when he is the only train that is able to do the job!
Life on the Island of Sodor is never boring - Sometimes when the engines are in trouble, they rely on their friends to Race to the Rescue.
