Star Wars Vault is filled with photos of the films, fan activities, products, and reproductions of memorabilia that you may not have. I didn't and I was a fan when there was only one film. (Yes, I did see the infamous holiday special on TV. Mercifully, the decades have erased it from my memory and the information in this book didn't have enough details to bring it all back.) I enjoyed looking at photos of items from countries other than the USA.
If for nothing else, the memorabilia show more reproductions should make this book a must-have for the collector who isn't rich. show less

Anakin Skywalker: The Story of Darth Vader Figure and Book Set Star Wars Masterpiece Edition by Stephen J. Sansweet
If you're a fan of "Star Wars," but lament the prequel trilogy's effect on the legacy of Darth Vader and the loss of the Expanded Universe in anticipation of Episode VII, this is the book for you. It's based on the films and EU novels up to 1998 and tells a concise, complete version of Darth Vader's life without the events of the prequels. It also has a good summary of George Lucas's creation of Vader as well as a guide for collectors looking to catalog their Vader collection.
Beautiful work showing concept designs for the various characters of the original trilogy. The link of these designs is with Lucas' intent to reserve near complete control most of the merchandising once the films were released. There are lots of productions notes included here. This book is for fans of Star Wars but others might like the toys from their childhood memories as well.
Very useful time saving reference book, encapsulates the minutiae of characters, planets, species, aliens, robots, ships, etc from the 'saga', cannon and most especially the Expanded Universe of Star Wars novels, comics, games that have unraveled over 30 years. Last version was wonderful and exhaustive, and the update goes to 3 volumes. I pre-ordered it, and pub keeps expanding. No longer simply Sansweet, a team of historians penned the entries.
