I had mixed feelings after reading this book. I liked that by reading this, the overall big idea of the story is to ease children about dentist visits. That the youngest child will find out through the pictures and text, that the dentist could be something to look forward too. This is one of the main reasons why I didn't care for this book or this genre in general. I like books that have a meaning or life-lesson. I feel that my mom could have comforted me in my trip to the dentist and I show more didn't need confimation of a book to do so. However, I do think it is highly useful and informational for children who don't have parents who are comforting or may not like the denist themselves.
The detailed picutres and simple texted made the book easy to read and follow. I liked how realistic the pictures were and the expression on the characters faces. I like that this author has a reoccuring theme and has a book about a trip to the doctor as well. I think it is a good concept to read about and as a reader realize that other people feel the same way you might feel and in the end have a positive outcome when beginnning with a negative attitude.

A well written plot about a young boy who is getting ready to sell his old junk that he may not need, but that someone else might need. It shows good personality development in that area.
This book tells the story of all the different things a family is selling at their garage sale, and the different feelings and emotions that come with getting rid of your things. I enjoyed this book as it was simple, and yet still told a story. It could also be a sort of Bibliotherapy book as it shows how letting go of a treasured item can be a positive experience.

Kid's book. The book is ancient, written in early 70's. And looks it. However, my two boys (5 and 2) were captivated. Even among all the contemporary kids book they love this. Simple, iconic, they both memorized the book - the first one the 2 year old memorized. Strongly recommended.
