this book is very heartfelt. a chapter book where a young boy discovers he has a learning disability; dyslexia. I feel that this disability is not really discussed and often ignored, but I love that this book brings it to life and how children struggle with this discovery and how they can be labeled as the class clown or dumb for it.
Ava Tree and the Wishes Three is a short chapter book about an eight-year old girl named Ava who discovers that she can make three wishes a day that all come true. In the beginning of the book, Ava's parents die in a car accident, and Ava wonders whether she can wish her parents back to life. This story is a mix of reality and fantasy, and is both funny and sad.

I must admit to really liking this book. Anna was rude and selfish and annoying, but I remember being that age and how easy it can be to feel jealous of a new kid in the group. I liked that Anna knew that she was acting selfish, that at least she was aware of it. And the ending was very sweet.

Yet another great Pony Pals book. I love how they always work together to solve any problem. However, I definitely think Pam was unfair to Lulu when Lulu tried an idea without talking it over first; As if she had to have their approval before doing anything! Anyway, a very nice book, but of course since it's a kid's book the problem is wrapped up fairly quickly, without any "wrapping up" about Maggie. Why did she never take Cloud to a vet? That was never addressed.
