A story that shows that true love can be found even without physical contact. Lainey and Mitch, who is a Marine stationed in Kuwait, have never met in person but have a strong connection which grows stronger over time as they communicate through e-mail and home video. Their initial connection starts with Lainey coming to take care of Mitch's dog. Lainey's family is especially entertaining and I loved how they also made Mitch like a part of their family without even meeting him. The courting show more between the two main characters is online through almost all of the book and the romance is sweet with no explicit scenes.
I enjoyed the story quite a bit, but I did think that it could have been shorter and still have been sweet and romantic. It started to drag quite a bit for me about half way in. Some points are reiterated when they wouldn't need to be and while I understand that Lainey had some issues with trusting in relationships I think her introspection could have been a little less as the story got to its later stages. Still a good story. show less

Almost too sweet. No actual sex.
