I really enjoyed this fairy book. I know some people don't like when authors change things up but I do. I love when they make things uniquely theirs. I know most fairy stories only have the two courts but I have read some with several others added (including the Twilight Court included in this tale). I loved that the Twilight Court were the peacekeepers. The characters are fun and I enjoyed reading their story. Overall, I enjoyed the story and I will definitely read more of the series.
This was a lively stimulating whirlwind of a story. My copy had a few typos. The characters had fairy story depth (not much). The pace was fast in images and situations. The steamy parts were mild.
I can't read any more of these. They are insipid. It is the same scenario of rough sex interspersed with a little bit of a fantasy story. The author seems lazy in telling the story. The fantasy war between the fea/human alliance and the Farungal could be told in a single 100 page book instead of being drawn out over 10 books. I was willing to accept the mass amount of repetitive sex in the first couple books, but it just doesn't work any more. It does nothing to move the story forward. show more Besides, it contains far too many LGBTQ+ triggers. I wouldn't recommend this as either a M/M erotic story or a fantasy. show less
There can be such a thing as too much sex in a book. It takes away from an otherwise fun fantasy story. I'm not sure I want to read any more of the series based on this first book.
