I love discovering new to me authors. This book felt like a modern day shark tank and I was there for it. I enjoyed the characters and their journey to love.

I always feel bad when I have to read a book for a challenge and I know I won't like it. Erotica is just not really my gig. But this one wasn't too bad.
I liked Maya. She was a girl with her head on straight. I like that she knew what she wanted and she went for it. I thought the love story moved a bit quickly but I guess they'd met before so that should have bridged the gap.
Julian was just okay. I like that he made clear his boundaries and also didn't cheat. I like that he worked for what he show more wanted but also respected Maya's rules and boundaries. I like that it was almost 50% into the story until it got spicy.
I liked the high stakes plot of expensive real estate. Interesting story and it stood well on its own but just no my kind of story. show less

A bit frustrating
Okay - I got sucked into Part One and finishing Part Two I was a bit frustrated. The H has left me a well , frustrated. And maybe this was the author's intent But right now, I'd like to knock him into next week. I just couldn't like him with his secretive behavior.
Will I read part Three? Yes. Why? Because Ms. Bladon always turns her Heroes around. Here's to hopeful.

What I really enjoyed about this serial is that it kept me guessing in terms of the dramatics. While I knew that there were going to be twists, I rarely guessed them right which is such a treat for me as a reader.
I also liked that it had a good balance between the sexy times, the character development and the plot. These are slightly longer novellas (~80 pages in each) so you do get that extra time to develop everything as opposed to the ~20 page novellas out there. And while there are show more plenty of sex scenes, I didn't feel like I was only reading those.
