Good plot, awful writing. The book started out with Author’s Notes, but they weren’t about this book. Each page was an intro to the author’s other books. Unusual, but ok. Next was the prologue, but it was no prologue at all, just a boring, dry, sterile introduction of the main characters, with everything told, not shown. It was poorly written, too. The third sentence made no grammatical sense, and the fifth line was just a sentence fragment. The first chapter was just as bad, with show more everything told and not shown, like this was a poorly written, boring magazine article. I could only make it through the first few pages. This was the first book by this author I picked up. I will not be reading anything else of hers. The writing is amateurish, boring, and unskilled. show less
