I keep reading these but I think they just aren't quite my thing. There is little to no angst and the chubbiness of the heroine is basically incidental. While I appreciate there being romances with BBW heroines where the plot does not revolve around her BBW-ness, I prefer the angsty insecure bits. (2.5 stars)

I haven't read a book like this one in quite a while. I really enjoyed this story.

Tegan's story is heartbreaking, but he is one tough kid and he grows into an strong, brave and very good-hearted man. Could he have done this without Grey? Tegan doesn't think so and he wants to make sure he does everything he can to pay him back for the second chance at life that Grey has given him.
So, when Grey asks him to go check on some villages, Tegan does so and shocked show more at what he finds.

Ciara has a good life in her village. She has a loving father and feels secure. Then the dragon shifters show up and start kidnapping and killing everyone in her village. She is the only one left.

Tegan finds her and barely gets her away, but now they are on the run, with no where to go. They need to save the villagers and prove that Tegan is not the one who was behind this. There are only the two of them though. Time to find re-enforcement's. Time to meet someone he has never met and thinks abandoned him.

This wasn't bad, not quite what I expected though. This was urban fantasy but more like lighthearted urban fantasy. The plot's enjoyable enough, characters are likable - they're just all slightly too sweet for my tastes. Good start to a new series with an interesting premise.

Let me start by stating that I am a shape-shifter-a-holic. So to say this is the perfect box set for someone like me would be an understatement. One of the things I love about boxed sets by various authors is it gives you an opportunity to discover new authors as well as offer you the comfort of reading show more the work of writers you have enjoyed in the past.

While having the common shifter theme, each story is very different and refreshing. I definitely felt like I was reading a distinctive story with every author. Each one was enjoyable and kept me engaged. This is a must buy for any paranormal shifter lover!
