This book is exactly as the series says, Animal Bites. There are so many facts in this book that something will draw in any reader. This book describes various animal species family life. It talks about live and egg birth, how long babies stay with their parents, what they eat, where they live, how they travel and more. The photos in this book are amazing. They are so close you feel like you can touch the animals. The special sections on the side that include cool animal facts, simple show more infographics, and illustrated maps of the Earth and the habitats as well as the short bits on "All Grown Up" are sure to invite discussion and further investigation. They even have bits on "Just like Humans" where they show how human families interact in some of the various topics. The back of the book includes activities, further resources and an extensive Glossary. I love that a portion of the proceeds will benefit Animal Planet's R.O.A.R. (Reach Out. Act. Respond.) project which partners with leading animal organization to make the world a better place for domestic and wild animals.

This book would be a great addition to a school or class library, especially those learning about animal species, habitats, and even families. The publisher generously provided me with a copy of this book via Netgalley.

Young readers can touch the soft, fuzzy caterpillars as they grow from big to bigger to biggest and turn into beautiful pop-up butterflies in this unique book that introduces children to comparative adjectives.

It’s a simple text, accompanied by colorful illustrations. The three-dimensional fuzzy “caterpillars” and pop-up butterflies will delight the youngest reader and “Three Little Caterpillars” will quickly become a favorite book to be read again and again.

Recommended.
I enjoyed reading “In the Ocean” because of the information and the vivid illustrations. I found that the beautiful colors in this book are consistent with the colors of the sea. I know this because I enjoy being in the water and have swam in a coral reef. I found the playful fun facts to be very entertaining, fascinating and insightful. One aspect of this informational book that I liked was the fold out pages that showed more pictures and showed large animals that when drawn to scale show more would not fit on the page. One of my favorite aspects of this book is that each species that was represented in the text was identified and explained to the reader. Also, I found it very interesting to see what each species eating habits were. I love the Ocean and the creatures of the sea and really enjoyed reading this informational text because of the various text features that allude to the readers visual senses. show less
Animal Planet Baby Animals by Animal Planet is an adorable book for kids of all ages! (Adults too!) It covers a variety of babies from the animal kingdom doing things baby animals do. The images are amazing, clear, and so fun. Most pages have more than 2 pictures on them. Lots of info is included, little tidbits are added tastefully here and there without being cluttered. Very well organized. Colorful, bright, and informative. The incredible images and great info is a big winner! A must have show more for the kid that has everything. Thanks NetGalley and the Publisher of this book for allowing me to read this astounding animal treasure! show less
