Very useful and well organised reference for Kanji. Indexed in various different ways and comprehensive.
Excellent resource, if you're learning Japanese. I use this dictionary more often than any other when reading text in Japanese. In conjunction with a good online dictionary, there's very little I can't look up in one place or the other.
Kanji & Kana: A Handbook of the Japanese Writing System (Tuttle Language Library) by Wolfgang Hadamitzky
I have the 1981 hardbound edition, not the 1997 paperback one. It was my favorite kanji book until another one I will add when I get home.
