Remi De Roo has some very serious theological errors about woman's ordination. Written when this was such suggestions have no place in serious theological discussions. Regardless there were some good observations about the council.
Transcripts of recorded conversations between three Catholics, former Bishop Remi De Roo of the Diocese of Victoria, and Bernard and Mae Daly, a married couple. According to the back cover: 'avoiding nostalgia, the authors offer bold, provocative reflections on globalization, ministry, sexuality, prayer and worship, science and religion, Church structure, interfaith dialogue...'

'Bernard Daly covered Vatican II for the Information Service of the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishps, where show more hs also served as Assistant Secretary form 1984-1991. Daly is Publisher Emeritus of The Catholic Register.

'Mae Daly taught music at the elementary and college level. After earning an M.A. in Counselling from Saint Paul University in 1991, she taught religion, family life and music literacy in Granada until 1997. She married Bernard Daly in 1948.

'Remi J. De Roo's previous books include "Cries of Victims - Voice of God." A long-time peace and justice advocate, he helped found the Centre for Studies in Religion and Society at the University of Victoria. He was Bishop of Victoria, British Columbia since 1962' according to the back cover blurb. He served in that capacity until 1999.

My copy is autographed by the Bishop, with the inscription 'To Gregory, many thanks! + Remi J. De Roo.' It is a glossy-covered paperback with a beautiful full colour photograph of an ornate church door at an undiclosed location by Blair Turner Communications with layout by Chris Humphrey, was published by Novalis of Toronto and Ottawa in 1999, and includes a Table of Contents, Introduction, Abbreviations, eleven chapters of text, Epilogue, Notes, Glossary and Bibliography, 264 pages.
