Pft. Why bother with a bread machine if you are only going to use the dough cycle? Hate this cookbook for that reason. Every recipe in here uses the dough cycle and then you bake the bread in an oven. Why not learn to knead bread by hand, use a hand-crank dough maker, or dough hook on a stand mixer?
A nice book, although her most ungracious (and apparently unself-conscious) story about refusing to eat food someone brought to her seder when she was unable to cook herself because of major surgery sort of turned my attitude toward her partway through the book. Still, I like the tour down memory lane and the discussions of food and family.
Do NOT like this format. I thought I would, but it's actually annoying to see a recipe tweaked across 3-5 pages for 17 machines. The format could easily be improved by sectioning the book based on machine and then giving the recipes.
Colorful & well photographed, this book gives the reader not only excellent instructions for special preparations & ingredients, but a wonderful selection of recipes.

Recipes include: layer sponge cake, ice cream, creme brulee, tarts, cookies, scones & truffles...a little bit of everything.

There was only one recipe that I was interested in making, but the rest are a chocolate lovers sweetest dream.
